Beer Details --
BA Lathspell - 14.9% ABV - This massive imperial oatmeal stout was aged in a Templeton Rye whiskey barrel for 24 months. Expect rich notes of dark chocolate complimented by vanilla, whiskey, and burnt toffee all held together with a decadent silky body and tied off with an oaky finish. Like the edge of a brownie made liquid.
BA Badgers Nadgers - 11.1% ABV - This new iteration of an old Alluvial favorite doubles down on caramel candy and honey notes. This beer spent 21 months aging in Templeton Rye 10 year barrels for soft notes of whiskey, vanilla, and fruit leather.
Archaea - batch 1 - 5.5% ABV - This méthode traditionnelle sour ale was brewed in the way of Belgian lambic producers with malted 2-row barley and raw wheat, aged hops, and coolshipped on site.
Coolshipping is a method of dropping the wort - the sweet liquid that yeast ferments into beer - from boiling temperatures in the kettle to room temperature in the days before refrigeration technologies. This is done by filling a larger vat ('ship') with the wort and opening up all the windows so that the cool night air can blow through and over it. At Alluvial, our coolship isn't so big, so we just wheel it outside our garage doors.
This method of cooling also has another, very important function: it's how we pick up the yeast and bacteria that will ferment the beer! This so-called spontaneous fermentation is what makes this style truly unique. The native yeasts produce interesting and complex flavors and aromas as well as the alcohol, and the bacteria produces the acid profile that makes the beer sour.
We also refermented a portion of this first batch with red raspberries, a traditional favorite of the Belgian lambic producers. This is our Framboise (French for 'raspberry') Archaea - 6.3% ABV.

Iowa No Mountain Boys play an eclectic mix of original and traditional bluegrass music, paying homage to its roots. The band started during picking sessions on the porch of local bluegrass roustabout, Mark Hargrove, but quickly realized their line-up provided a unique and satisfying musical element that was missing from the local scene. Focusing on multi-part harmonies and driving instrumental breaks, the Iowa No Mountain Boys enjoy bringing the beauty of traditional bluegrass music to audiences new and old.
The band features Mark Hargrove on fiddle/vocals, Everett Hargrove on banjo, Andrew Hoiberg on guitar/vocals and Chris Myers on bass/vocals with the as-available addition of Kyle Murphy on mandolin/vocals.
