One of our favorite discoveries last year, Gráinne Hunt is back in the states and making a stop at Alluvial, accompanied by Jules Stewart on percussion and vocals! Gráinne's tour is supported by Culture Ireland.

Fri 5/16 7pm - $10/$13 all ages!

"The Irish Joni" -Michael Londra

"The hardest working woman in Irish music" -Glen Hansard

With a voice like complex coffee, Gráinne Hunt enchants audiences with her heart-melting vocals and emotional songs, making her a standout among Ireland's vocalists and songwriters.

Her two original records, delve into personal experiences, evoking pain and longing, and comparisons have been drawn to Tracy Chapman, Natalie Merchant, and Dolores Keane. Gráinne's latest original album 'This Secret' (2019) was recorded in Nashville, with Grammy nominated Thomm Jutz - she writes from a powerful place with lyrics that tell of pain, hurt, desire, all the hallmarks of scarred relationships making her truth resonate with her listeners. Her music feels like a cathartic expression that has enabled her to move on, move forward.

'A natural performer, Gráinne Hunt commands an astounding voice that will melt your heart. No crowd can resist.' Declan O'Rourke Songwriter, Author

She's shared stages with Glen Hansard and U2, has opened for Gladys Knight, Mary Black, and Eagle Eye Cherry. Last year she played Cambridge Folk Festival(UK) and Haldern Pop Festival(DE). This year saw her showcase at Folk Alliance International before her first US tour in mid-2024.
